Who is responsible for your data

App Builder Index is the data controller for all personal data described in this policy. We can be reached through the contact form. Choose the data protection option so the message is routed to the person who handles these requests.

What we collect and why

Messages you send us. If you write to the desk through the contact form or submit a correction, we hold the four things the form requires: your name, your email address, your country, and the content of the message. The country tells us which market a correspondent is writing from. We also hold the topic you choose and the tool the message is about when you fill in those two optional fields, and the IP address the message was sent from. Legal basis: legitimate interest in running a review publication and answering correspondence.

Reviews and comments you publish. If you submit a rating or a comment, we hold the display name you choose, the text, and the date. This is published, which is the point of submitting it. Legal basis: consent, which you can withdraw by asking us to remove the entry.

Server logs. Our hosting produces short lived request logs containing IP address, user agent, requested URL and timestamp. These exist for security and debugging. Legal basis: legitimate interest in keeping the site available and secure.

Analytics. We load no analytics, advertising or social tracking scripts before you make a choice in the cookie banner, and we do not use advertising cookies at all. See the cookie policy.

What we do not do

We do not sell personal data. We do not share it with advertisers or data brokers. We do not build advertising profiles. We do not pass your correspondence to the vendors we review, including when your message is about one of them, unless you explicitly ask us to.

How long we keep it

Correspondence is kept for two years from the last message in the thread. Published reviews and comments are kept until you ask for removal or the page is retired. Server logs are kept for thirty days. Cookie consent preferences are stored in your own browser and are not sent to us.

Processors

We use third party providers for hosting, content delivery and email delivery. They process data only on our instructions and under written terms that include the standard contractual clauses where data leaves the European Economic Area. We do not name them here in a way that would go stale; the current list is available on request to the address above.

Your rights

You have the right to access your data, to have it corrected, to have it erased, to restrict or object to its processing, and to receive it in a portable format. Send the request through the contact form and we will respond within one month. If you are not satisfied you may complain to your national data protection authority.

Children

This publication is intended for a professional audience and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under sixteen.

Changes

If this policy changes materially we will update the date above and note the change on this page rather than replacing it silently.

22 August 2026: we expanded the description of what the contact form collects so that it lists every field. The country selection and the IP address stored with your message were added to the form on the same date and are newly collected. The topic and builder selections were already being collected and were simply not listed here before.
