Assessed for 2026The professional choice in this bracket, with one caveat that moved its score. WeWeb takes 4.4 on integrations because it treats a web application as something that has to be connected to real data, and WeWeb Cloud now ships a real managed backend of its own: a managed database, lambda compute, file storage and transactional email, which is why we have changed its category rather than calling it a pure front-end tool. SEO is the loss, at 3.1. The output is a Vue.js single-page application, and the vendor's own cheapest hosting tier is named "Static sites and SPAs", so unless the customer adds a rendering layer of their own, crawlers and LLM fetchers get an empty shell. Two commercial facts matter more than the sticker price. WeWeb does not charge per app user on any tier, and end users, APIs and workflows are unlimited everywhere, which is a decisive advantage over Softr and Retool as an audience grows. Against that, MCP is effectively a Pro feature at USD 50 a month per developer, with a 14-day trial on Free and no listing on Essential, and the Free tier cannot export code, so ownership, the platform's headline promise, is paywalled.

Runs a six-person studio building client web apps. Cares about handover more than novelty.
Server-rendered pages, real Lighthouse scores, connects to whatever backend the client already has, and we can export Vue if the relationship ends. That last part has won us two contracts. The learning curve is real and our juniors take a month, but the output is work I am willing to sign.

- Genuinely good SEO and performance. Vue export keeps the exit open.

Pages that actually rank, from a visual builder

Marketing lead. My interest in these tools begins and ends with whether the page ranks.
I have been burned by every other visual tool on search performance. This one renders on the server, the markup is clean, and our category pages are competing with hand-built competitors. I cannot build in it myself without help, but I no longer dread what the developers hand me.

Far too much tool for me

Practice manager for a four-clinic veterinary group. Not technical, extremely stubborn.
Collections, bindings, workflows, and a backend I had to buy separately before anything appeared on screen. I understand now that it is aimed at agencies. Nothing about how it was sold to me suggested that. I would tell anyone in my position to look at the simpler end of this index first.
